The Daily Mail, those notorious spreaders of joy and contentment, recently published a twee infographic showing when we should expect to hit certain life milestones. First kiss, marriage, that sort of thing. All very twee.
Looking at it, one of the first things that struck me is how it could reasonably expect people in their twenties to be able to afford buy a house, get married, and have a child. But there’s the clever bit: it’s by a loan company. Amigo Loans, to be precise.
Yep. A loan company ran a piece with the Daily Mail to tell everyone what’s expected of them. Haven’t bought a flat by age 27? KEEP UP, YOU’RE GETTING LEFT BEHIND.
They even produced a quiz to make you feel more insecure about your life not sticking to their arbitrary plan. How lovely.
I decided to make a more realistic infographic. Enjoy?
